Scar Management
COSMEX offers tailored scar management to improve skin health and scar appearance.
Scars vary in type, location and severity, and treatment suitability differs between individuals. A consultation is required to assess your skin and determine an appropriate management approach and, following this, treatment options like skin needling, laser therapies, LED, and medical-grade skincare are used to support renewal and texture.
Post-operative scar management includes scar massage with a scar balm and use of a silicone-based tape. By maintaining hydration, protecting the skin, and supporting the natural healing process with massage and moisturising, you are helping to optimise your skin’s recovery over time.
It is important to note that individual results vary, and no treatment can completely remove a scar. All medical and cosmetic procedures carry potential risks and benefits, which will be discussed during your consultation.
Post-operative Scar Management
Following surgery, consistent aftercare using scar balm and tape plays an important role in supporting the skin’s recovery process. Healing takes time, and each individual’s response may vary.
